Playschemes

Currently we are holding a playscheme for children from all over the Sussex region. We hope to publish some of the work they do on this website. In the meantime, here are some pictures from last years 'Ollie Owl' playscheme.

The playschemes are a good opportunity for children with varying levels of visual impairment to mix socially and have fun in a safe setting.

Where some may feel left out at school due when mixing with children with unimpaired vision, this is not a problem at the playscheme, where activities are tailored to suit everyone from those without any sight at all to children with little impairment. They are run with various educational activities as well as ones just for fun.

We have a high helper to child ratio to ensure safety and that all children get the most out of coming to the playscheme, we have several children with multiple disabilities which need one-to-one help with lots of helpers this is not a problem.
