Moonlight Magazine

Brighton Society for the Blind provides a free magazine on tape to our members every two-three months. It is compiled and recorded by volunteers and is an excellent way for us to keep in contact with visually impaired people who cannot make it to our centre.

The tape is run by John Murphy and Jeanne Storr. If you would like to get involved in the magazine, or have any content you think they would like please contact us by e-mail, by calling 01273 507251 (+44 1273 507251 from outside the UK) or at the address at the bottom of the page.

Collected here are some extracts from our tapes in MP3 format. This is a way of compressing music, or in this case speech, so it takes up very little space and can fit on our web site. If you have Netscape Communicator v4.7 or above, you will probably all ready have an MP3 player, as Winamp player comes with the package. Otherwise, if you do not all ready have one you will need to download a player, there are lists of them on www.mp3.com, or you can download them direct from:

Winamp MP3 player
Xing MP3 player
Sonique MP3 player

If you have a recent version of Windows Media Player (e.g. version 6 or later) then this will also play MP3 files for you.
